After playing too many Angry Birds levels, and reading endless guides and tips about max scores and golden eggs, you sure came upon the Mighty Eagle. You also read that it is supposed to make the game easier at some point. After that the main questions that arise are, is this a new bird?, How to install the misterious Mighty Eagle?, Where Do I download it?.
Basically, the Mighty Eagle is a new Angry Bird, but it’s not for free, you need to buy it in order to use it and has certain restrictions. Though the Might Eagle can help you pass a level (using the level sip option), it won’t give you points or bonus stars. If you are facing a tough new level and can’t complete it, the Mighty Eagle can do it for you, with a time restriction use of 1 per hour. With this new angry bird comes the option to play already completed levels, turning on the mini-game option called Total Destruction. Keep reading the guide below and get all the answers.

The Angry Birds Mighty Eagle FAQ
- Is it Free?: Unfortunately no, you need to purchase it. The cost of this powerful virtual bird is US$0.99
- How do you Buy it: Something important to remark is that the Mighty Eagle is only available for iOS users, as long as their iTunes account has a credit card to charge the purchase.
- Does it have a limited Life: Good news, the Eagle is permanent, you can use it as many times as you want to.
- How do you install/activate it?: You need to activate it once you are inside a level. Pause the game, you will see a big eye to the right of the pause icon. For a better explanation, watch the video below
- How do you use it: Once you turn on the Eagle, your slingshot gets a full round of sardines, you shoot the sardine, and then, all of a sudden, the Big Bird falls from the sky and catches the sardines, not leaving before it wipes out the buildings and piggies. You still need to aim properly, since it is not guarantee that it will destroy a 100% of the stage. Back to the level selection screen, an icon reminder will show up, indicating that the Eagle has been disposed of on that particular instance.
- Use Frequency: Don’t even think of finishing the whole game in a couple of minutes with this aid. You can only throw sardines on unfinished levels once per hour. And for those levels that you’ve already done, activate it as many times as you want.
- The Mighty Eagle and the 3 Stars: More bad news, the 3 stars can only be achieved through regular mode, all the destruction caused by the eagle goes to the Eagle Mode Score System.
- The Eagle Score: Another layer added to Angry Birds to keep feeding your addiction. As we said, The mighty eagle use implies that you don’t get the regular points, but Eagle Points only. You will find that in some levels, you must team up the big bird with the rest of the regular birds in order to reach 100% destruction.
- Mighty Eagle Mini-Game: A 100% destroyed lewel yields a feather. You obtain 10 points for 50 feathers. With this comes the extra 3 achievements, with a maximum of 60 points, the lowest being 10 points and the middle is 20 points and the highest 30 points.
- Is the Mighty Eagle available for Android Users?: Not yet, it seems that the payment system is making it not so easy to implement..
- Is is available for MAC and Windows Users?: No, again, just for iOS users, that includes the iPad, iPhone and iPod.
- What About Angry Birds Lite?: You can’t use this item with the Lite edition.
